How to Install the Refrigerator Water Filter Maytag UKF7003?

Please confirm that the model of the refrigerator water filter you installed is Maytag UKF7003. You need to make sure the water filter cartridge housing is not damaged before installation.

 1. On models without a replacement indicator light, apply the month sticker to the new cartridge and mark your calendar to remind you to replace the filter after six month.

 2. Remove old filter cartridge by grasping and gently turning counterclockwise about a 1/4 turn until it releases from the filter head-discard.

 3. Line-up the cartridge ears so it can be inserted into the filter head.  Rotate the cartridge into the head.  Twist the cartridge 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks into place.

 4. Run water from the dispenser for 6-8 minutes (about 3-4 gallons) to clear the system and prevent sputtering.

 5. On models with a replacement indicator light, press and hold the RESET WATER FILTER PAD on the dispenser.
