Types and Effects of Activated Carbon Filters

Activated carbon water filters are one of the most commonly used water purification products, and their low cost and effectiveness have become their irreplaceable advantages. Generally speaking, compressed activated carbon filters and granular activated carbon filters are the two most common types.

Activated carbon block filter

It is made by extruding or sintering activated carbon and binder as raw materials. The filter element has low ash powder, wide and uniform micropore distribution, and has excellent functions of adsorbing residual chlorine, odor and pigment, and removing organic compounds. The compressed activated carbon filter is used together with the water filter housing as a part of the water purification equipment.

Granular activated carbon filter

Using high-quality activated carbon as raw material, it can efficiently adsorb residual chlorine, odor, color number, organic matter in the water, residual pesticides and other chemical substances. All activated carbon has been specially processed to greatly reduce the dust; meltblown pads and non-woven fabrics are placed at both ends of the filter element, so that the filter element has good efficiency, high flow, and no black water flows out.
